Okay, as I mentioned yesterday the 3D stuff in blueprint is being reworked to provide you with much more variety and flexibility. This includes the addition of things like vertex editing, edge selection, face extrusion, subdividing, triangulation, merging meshes, slicing meshes, metaballs, inverse kinetmatics, bevelling, smoothing, uv mapping and editing, and a whack of other stuff. Don’t worry if this is all greek to you. The basic building blocks are still there and you don’t have to use these new ones if you don’t want to. Below is a screenshot of the new sphere object which provides better control of the surfaces and also allows for converting the sphere to a nurbs curve for some really funky alterations. I know, a sphere doesn’t look like much but what you can do with it is now 100 times more interesting than the previous one. More to come…
