blueprintPro features, daily emails

Hi guys,

A couple of things this morning. I’m updating and finishing the blueprintPro feature matrix later today. This should give you a good idea of the differences between the freeware and commercial versions. As time goes on, some features might make their way into the freeware one and hey, I’m always open for suggestions. The blueprintPro CD will contain all the free software found here as well as an extra set of high quality textures (hundreds of ‘em), high quality (+2000 polygons) models for importing, dozens of sample objects (complete with their 3D source) and other goodies.

Also I haven’t made this part of the site yet. It’s been around for awhile but not too many people know about it. The news postings here are available via your email if you want to have it delivered when it’s posted. Just fill out the form below (if you’re not a member of Yahoo groups you’ll need to join up for free). They’ll be a similar one (with some additional features) available shortly for blueprintPro. You can also subscribe by sending an email message to blueblog-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Seeya!

blueprint elves still at work, Yahoo groups down today.

Heya. Not much to say tonight. Me and the blue elves are still hammering, stitching and cobbling together things for the site. There’s just so much more than I had thought. I have 18 programs to maintain with pages, documentation, etc. for each. Sheesh. Quite a bit to handle with the few hours I have each night but we’ll get there. Rob & Sam, no forgiveness needed. I got the joke. The other unfortunates need to just relax and little and stop taking everything I say literally. Still Waiting, the “few days” reference was in regards to the changes on the site, not blueprint. That is still moving forward, testing, debugging, fixing and all that jazz. Glad you’re still waiting since (IMO) the wait will be worth it in the end. If not, then 100% money back guarantee. I’ll even double your money back on blueprint. Hell, double your money back on all my software if you’re not completely satisfied. Please note, Yahoo groups seems to be down today so you probably won’t get this news item delivered to your inbox. Sorry about that. Have a good evening folks.

Hi guys. Over this week I mentioned Simposium a couple of times and the great work Clive has been doing. Another excellent effort is from Tom van Dijk (Mazelord) who’s been working on some great Sim programs. He just released his newest program, Script Station. Script Station is basically a script editor for The Sims, like Edith. It is still in beta phase and a lot of so-called primitives and parameters haven’t been decoded yet. There’s also a guide to SimAntics and how Sim objects work here, in early stages of course. It’s a good effort so feel free to try it out and help Tom along if you can. As to where Simposium fits in all this, with Script Station it would be possible to edit the animation names so you can swap out animations in the game. It’s not 100% user friendly so if you’re looking for a simple solution, this might not be the answer but it’s a step in the right direction.

Also an update on the email news posts. I checked the Yahoo groups online and it looks like the messages are coming through fine. They’re completely intact on the website so they were sent out that way. Mine are just getting cut off in Outlook Express for some reason. Also I’m a little offline for the next couple of days. I had to do my 6 month re-install Windows maneuver yesterday so I’m still hunting down software and re-installing everything. It’s the necessary evil when running Microsloth Winblows and having as many reboots/reinstalls as I do.

Seeya!
