Hi ho. Happy happy joy joy. I just finished up a few key elements for blueprint, namely a really slick animation-keyframe system. You can create animations now with just a single move of an object. For example, if you want to create an animation of a door opening, you just set the first and last positions and how many sprites you want to generate for the inbetween images. blueprint generates the animations and sprites for you. Very simple. This will work for any object where you need animation. The animations can be as complex as you want so you can have 4 or 5 (or 100) things all animating at once and you really don’t have to do much to get going. I’ll see if I can put together an animated GIF of the animation sequence but I have a few other UI things that are in progress so I’m not sure if I”ll have time. I’m bascially trying to get this version out as quickly as possible as it stands up to all of my testing so far and works great with imported or blueprint-originated objects.
On the community side of things, I just got a note about a new thing in The Sims community. The Sim Community Radio (SCR) is an independent, non-profit, internet radio station that discusses everything about The Sims. Tonights premiere broadcast hits the airwaves at 10pm EST so tune in and check it out! You can find out more info here at their site. You’ll need Winamp or a similar program to listen to the broadcast. Full instructions on how to tune in are at the website. Enjoy!
